Using QRUnlocked

QRUnlocked provides a free browser-based tool for creating static QR codes. You may use the service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the content you encode, the QR codes you create and distribute, and any website, file, text, contact information, or other destination to which your QR code points. WereByte LLC does not create, review, approve, endorse, or control user-provided QR code content or destinations.

No account or subscription

QRUnlocked does not require an account or subscription to create QR codes. Optional contributions are not required to use the QR generator and do not provide special access to it.

QR codes and destinations

QRUnlocked creates permanent static QR codes with no QRUnlocked expiration, redirect, or subscription requirement. Once created, the QR code continues to contain the information encoded in it. If a QR code points to an external destination, such as a website or file, the availability, content, security, and operation of that destination are the responsibility of its owner or operator and are outside WereByte LLC's control.

Prohibited use

You may not use QRUnlocked for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or malicious purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, creating or distributing QR codes intended to facilitate phishing, impersonation, fraud, malware distribution, unauthorized access, theft of credentials or personal information, harassment, infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights, or any other activity that violates applicable law or the rights of another person or organization.

You may not attempt to interfere with, damage, disable, overload, disrupt, circumvent, probe, attack, or gain unauthorized access to QRUnlocked, its infrastructure, or systems used to provide the service.

No warranty

QRUnlocked is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. WereByte LLC does not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. WereByte LLC does not guarantee or endorse the content, safety, accuracy, legality, or reliability of destinations encoded by users into QR codes.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, WereByte LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of or inability to use QRUnlocked, a generated QR code, or any content or destination encoded in a QR code. WereByte LLC is not responsible for losses, damages, claims, or disputes resulting from QR codes or destinations created, controlled, distributed, or operated by users or other third parties.

Intellectual property

QRUnlocked’s branding, site design, and original site content are owned by WereByte LLC or used with permission. Third-party software and services remain subject to their respective licenses and terms. Creating a QR code with QRUnlocked does not grant you rights to content, trademarks, copyrighted material, or other property belonging to another person or organization.

Changes

WereByte LLC may modify, suspend, or discontinue QRUnlocked and may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
